When an item is returned, you have three options for disposition.
- Return the order to the warehouse. You are responsible for choosing the appropriate method to return the item back to your warehouse
If you have an LTL carrier, create shipping documents with them and provide the customer with a box for shipping - or - request that the Overstock 3PB Freight Team handles creating the return order for you. They will create shipping documents and charge your Overstock account with the appropriate freight charge.
- Dispose of the order. Overstock will charge a disposal fee to have the item removed from the customer’s possession
- Donate the order. The customer will be requested to donate the item, but it may be disposed of anyway
Note: If information is not provided within 1 business day, the order will be automatically returned to the warehouse that shipped the order and you will be charged the shipping charges to have the item returned.
You will also see the return appear in the Returns tab of Supplier Oasis, where you can monitor details and reporting for your open and closed returns along with any items in a Returns Hold.
